Future forward system
Research-based, proprietary & integrative program focused on developing remarkable young men, poised to take their place as leaders in the world.
Forge's Future Forward™ System replaces traditional classrooms with hands-on studios where students complete real world projects.
Trusted mentors guide each young man through proficiency-based growth, where progress is measured by mastery, not grades. Students design their own pathways, pursuing skills that align with their strengths and career goals—graduating with tangible abilities and clear direction.
the future forward system has four key dimensions
1. Hands-on studios
Each of our studios are centers of expertise where students explore a discipline & build mastery.
BUILD: Auto Mechanics, Construction & Carpentry, Fabrication
DIGITAL ARTS: Traditional Art, Graphic Design & Illustration, Filmmaking, Animation
TECH: Applied Math, Engineering, Coding, AI, 3D Modeling
OUTDOOR: Survival Skills, Mountaineering, River Guiding, Outdoor Leadership
2. Trusted mentors
Each studio is led by a Guide who is a gifted teacher, as well as an expert in their field. The foundation of a growth mindset is the relationship that our Guides build with each and every student. Every student has monthly 1-on-1 meetings with a dedicated Guide to amplify growth opportunities & map out future projects.
3. Proficiency-based growth
Individual progress is measured not by grades, but by mapping development against a set of comprehensive proficiencies & rigorous performance tasks.
INDIVIDUAL PORTFOLIO: Students explore all studios and begin building an impressively diverse body of work with real-world applications.
4. Student-driven pathways
Every student takes ownership of exhibiting their own growth & experience as required to secure future career pathways — be that college admission, internships & apprenticeships, or entrepreneurial ventures.
CAPSTONE PROJECTS: Students choose an area of specialization and embark upon a year-long capstone project that demonstrates their mastery in/across studio disciplines.
